The votes have been cast in the S*fe H*rbor Naming Contest and we have a clear winner: The Transatlantic Data Protection Framework (TDPF). The IAPP has now sent off an endorsement of this new name for the replacement of Safe Harbor to both the EU Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce, and we’ll have to wait and see whether it is officially adopted (or whether a new data-transfer agreement happens at all).
