The Washington Post reports an artificial intelligence service has taken more than 100,000 images of clothed women and manipulated the photos to show them with their clothes off. The original photos were received via encrypted messaging platform Telegram and then run through the AI service's technology. The women in the photos did not consent to their use, sparking fears of potential harassment and blackmail. Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, announced an investigation into the matter.
