CBS Baltimore reports the American Civil Liberties Union has raised concerns over a proposal that would have a surveillance airplane fly over the city as a way to fight crime. “The ACLU of Maryland is committed to protecting and preserving the privacy rights of everyone in our state,” the ACLU said in a letter. “Surveillance technology designed for a military battlefield has no place in American cities.” Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said he would not support flying a surveillance plane over the city, according to the report.
