A motion filed this week in the U.S. District Court in Portland, Oregon, shows that plaintiffs suing health insurer Premera Blue Cross now allege the company intentionally destroyed key evidence after lawsuits were filed and have asked a federal judge to issue sanctions against the company, OregonLive reports. Following a series of lawsuits against the company for a 2015 data breach, plaintiffs claim the company destroyed a computer that was compromised and data loss logs that were likely to contain evidence for their case. A spokesman for Premera Blue Cross said they would challenge the plaintiffs' motions for sanctions in court.
