While the proposal had been blocked by the former privacy commissioner, the editors suggest, "The protection of personal privacy is extremely important, but sometimes the greater good is even more so. This is one of those cases." The media organization is calling on Privacy Commissioner Timothy Pilgrim to reconsider the plan.
