Others, meanwhile, suggest the work of Privacy Commissioner Jennifer Stoddart in addressing high-profile cases involving social networks and online services proves the government is doing enough. However, Anil Somayaji of Carleton University suggests they may be making a mistake in confusing privacy with security. "It's the difference between worrying about someone knowing what you ate for lunch and someone stealing your lunch," he says. "We need to be concerned about both."
