Eileen Harrington joined the Small Business Administration (SBA) as its chief operating officer in August, after 25 years with the Federal Trade Commission. Harrington said she is excited and inspired to support the president’s economic recovery effort and to work with SBA Administration Karen Mills and her dynamic team.
Before joining the SBA, Harrington served as deputy director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. In earlier roles at the commission, Harrington oversaw some of its most visible regulatory work, such as the National Do Not Call initiative and implementation of the CAN-SPAM Act, work for which she was awarded a Service to America Medal.
