Valuable insights on Dutch data
protection operations

Experts and privacy professionals joined us 8-9 June in The Hague. They enjoyed a diverse, knowledge-rich programme for the first annual IAPP Data Protection Intensive: Nederland 2022.

Expert faculty addressed the latest developments in data protection locally and worldwide. Delegates learned how to manage a privacy programme and how global developments and regulations could impact their work. They also heard updates on GDPR and heard candid discussions from Dutch DPOs. All sessions were delivered in Dutch and English.

Read on to see feedback from attendees, images from the conference and descriptions of the programme.

Thank you for joining us in 2022!
We enjoyed coming together to learn new things and make critical connections. We look forward to reconnecting in 2023!

Keynote Speakers

Marianne Niessink

Director, International Affairs, Policy and Strategy, and Communications, Dutch Data Protection Authority

Marianne Niessink discussed her views on the latest developments on data protection & privacy and revealed the local and regional trends she sees that could significantly impact the industry and privacy professionals’ work.

Jeroen van den Hoven

Professor, Ethics and Technology, Delft University of Technology

We have become very immodest in our claims to know people. Digital technologies lead us to believe that we can know so much about each other. Our data driven Hubris is the basis of a variety of transgressions, forms of humiliation and disrespect for persons. Van den Hooven helped delegates understand what respect for persons implies in the age of Digital Twins, the Internet of Bodies, Neurolinks and Targeted Dream Incubation.
