Civil Liberties & Privacy Officer, Office of Intelligence & Counterintelligence

Andraleigh “Andy” Rodini has served as DOE-IN’s Civil Liberties, Privacy, and Professional Integrity Officer since March 2019. In this capacity, Ms. Rodini provides advice and guidance to personnel across the DOE-IN complex on a myriad of issues involving civil liberties and privacy. She is also responsible for DOE’s Intelligence Oversight Program. Since January 2017, Ms. Rodini has served as DOE-IN’s Analytic Ombuds, where she responds to concerns regarding adherence to analytic tradecraft standards in intelligence products and raises awareness of potential issues involving politicization of analysis. She is also a member of the DOE Classified Institutional Review Board for Human Subjects Research.



Ms. Rodini previously served as civilian legal counsel to the Department of Navy’s Office of the Judge Advocate General and the Department of Labor’s Employees’ Compensation Appeals Board, providing advice on a variety of Federal administrative law matters. During her time at the Navy, Ms. Rodini also served as the Head of its Affirmative and Personnel Claims Branch, where she oversaw all affirmative tort claims filed against, and Medical Care Recovery Act claims filed on behalf of, the Navy.  



Ms. Rodini graduated cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D.). She also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Allegheny College in Philosophy and Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Law and Policy from Indiana University’s Mauerer School of Law. Ms. Rodini is licensed as an attorney in the state of New York and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
