Kevin Friker
Kevin Friker is the Global Security Director for Mars, Incorporated, one of the world’s largest fastmoving-consumer-goods (FMCG) companies in the confectionary and pet care industries. With over 23 years of diverse corporate security experience and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Kevin joined Mars in 2012, assuming the position of CSO in 2015. In this capacity, Kevin leads a worldwide team positioned in Miami, London, Moscow, Dubai and Hong Kong who provide security guidance and
immediate response to threats against Mars Associates, facilities or brands. Additionally, Kevin initiates and / or oversees internal investigations related to associate misconduct, allegations of fraud or theft of company assets and provides direct security support to members of the Mars family.
Prior to joining Mars, Kevin was the Director of Global Security for Hyatt Hotels Corporation based at the company’s corporate office in Chicago, IL. During his five year tenure at Hyatt, Kevin was responsible for
promoting physical, technical and operational security improvements throughout Hyatt's international hotel portfolio with a specific focus on anti-terrorism countermeasures in high risk countries. Kevin was
the co-author of Hyatt Hotels’ Security Policy Manual, Security Operations and Standards Manuals that provide the framework for the company’s Corporate Security program that guides local hotel security
measures.
Working as a Security Consultant for New York-based Kroll Security Group prior to joining Hyatt, Kevin was responsible for delivering security consulting services domestically and internationally to a wide range of clients including state and federal government agencies, international air carriers, hospitality
companies, as well as public and private businesses. At Kroll, Kevin also specialized in designing security solutions for high net-worth individuals with personal security risks, a number of whom have been named in the Forbes 400 annual list.
Kevin previously held senior security roles at AT&T Wireless and Monsanto Company. Kevin holds a BA degree from Michigan State University with a double-major in Humanities and Criminal Justice, and holds a MA degree in Corporate & Crisis Communications from DePaul University in Chicago.
