About the IAPP

G-J. (Gerrit-Jan) Zwenne is a full professor (hoogleraar) Law and the Information Society at Leiden University and Partner at Pels Rijcken, focusing on privacy and data protection law for over 30 years. Gerrit-Jan is chair of the Dutch Privacy Lawyers Association (VPR-A), board member of Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR) and the Dutch IT and Law Association (NVvIR). He is editor of the Internet Law Review (Tijdschrift for Internetrecht) and editor/co-author of the article-by-article commentary on the GDPR and other Dutch Data Protection Law (Kluwer Tekst & Commentaar Privacy en gegevensbeschermingsrecht -- 7th ed. 2020).
