About the IAPP

Manish Sehgal is in his 12th year of association with Deloitte’s Risk Advisory Practice in India. He is responsible for multiple roles including, National Solution Director for Privacy and Data Protection Services. He is a practitioner in the field of Cyber Security, Regulatory Risk & Compliance and Program Management covering Information Technology, Business Process and Operational aspects.

Manish is currently most engaged to drive advisory services for the new data protection regulation from the European Union (GDPR). Over the past months he’s spoken at multiple forums, public sessions, and organisation specific workshops in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai. So far he’s delivered ~30 such sessions to make participants aware on GDPR requirements, applicability and way ahead to be GDPR ready. 

For more than a decade, he has led multiple engagements for clients operating from multiple geographies (India, China, United Kingdom, and United States of America). Such assignments involved advisory services related to Regulatory and Contractual Compliances including: cross-border requirements, privacy rationalisation, data flow maps, policy and framework for data leakage prevention, IT consolidation including vendors and processes, establishing and operating Program Management Office, Independent Reviews, Revenue Assurance, Supplier Risk Management, Governance & Information Security Assessments, IT Application & Infrastructure Security, IT General Computer Controls Reviews, Segregation of Duties, Information Security, Third Party Reporting, Managed Risk Services, Identity & Access Reviews, Data Centre Audits, and other Control Assurance Projects.

Manish holds the following degrees and certifications: A post graduate degree holder in Computer Science (Master of Computer Applications), A Project Management Professional (PMP®) from PMI, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, ISO 27001 Qualified Auditor from BSI, ISO 22301 2012 BCM Implementation Trained Professional from BSI, Certificate holder in Information Systems Development & Management from London School of Economics & Political Science, University of London, Great Britain.
