James Derian
James G. Derian is Corporate Counsel with Delphi Automotive Systems, LLC in Troy, Michigan, where his practice is focused on commercial litigation, product liability and regulatory affairs. Derian formerly was a shareholder in the law firm of Butzel Long in Detroit, where he was principally involved in commercial and other business litigation, including the representation of automotive industry suppliers. Derian is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School, where he was a member of the Wayne Law Review. Derian serves as a neutral commercial arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association. He is a Past President of the Oakland County Bar Association and the current Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association’s Legal Issues Council.
