About the IAPP

Ray Cole co-founded TechOp Solutions International, Inc. (a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, small Business) in January 2006 which supports federal operations centers in enhancing situational awareness, establishing a culture of Privacy compliance, and facilitating senior leader decision making. TechOp Solutions daily integrates real-time, social media capabilities into operations and dynamically, continuously glean operationally relevant breaking news information while strictly adhering to Privacy policies and directives.  Senior most federal operators have credited his social media operations with providing the first information on 94% of the priority situations that they monitored closely without any inadvertent PII distributions.  As importantly, the TechOp social media operation has undergone 12 successful federal Privacy Compliance Reviews in the last several years, and participated in government efforts developing social media Privacy policy, training materials, and operating concepts.  TechOp has also received multiple awards to provide Privacy SETA support to department Privacy offices.



Mr. Cole served 27 years in the Marine Corps as a warfighting analyst, operations officer, and commander at the infantry rifle company, Light Armored Infantry Battalion, Marine Regiment, and Marine Division levels during Desert Shield/Storm, and in foreign and domestic contingency operations in Lebanon, Kuwait, Somalia, and the 1992 Los Angeles Riots.
