Tony Vannelli is a seasoned privacy and security professional with experience in financial services and healthcare.  Currently working in Privacy and Security Product Manager for Philips Healthcare, and Sleep and Respiratory Care since April 2016.  This position focuses on legacy and new developing Patient Management applications systems running on a variety of proprietary and cloud based platforms throughout the globe.  The position also is part of a team that reviews and advises on client service level, business associate, and data processing agreements.   

Previously Tony worked as Compliance Privacy Officer with The Bank of New York Mellon where he was responsible for central oversight for the overall privacy program as was applicable to the organization’s various business units.  Customer’s varied from direct individual retail consumer customers, mid to large institutional clients, and services provided to individual consumer customers on behalf of institutional clients.   

In addition, other professional positions at BNY Mellon from including Customer Implementation Manager for the banks Cash Management Services, Technical Products Implementation Manager, and Project Manager roles.  In transitioning from a global financial institution to a global healthcare service company which may not seem to naturally or logically flow, as financial service companies process a significant amount of medical information and protected health information with financial transactions for hospitals and insurance companies.

Tony also held positions as contract technical consultant and application designer position for a financial system at a government operated mental health agency.  Also program manager for a mid-sized robotics firm, and a system analyst for the financial arm of a large global manufacturing company.
