Kamini joined Accenture in 2006 and is part of the global data privacy compliance team. Kamini is primarily responsible for the EMEA region but she also deals with multiple global projects. Kamini advises on innovative technology programs including: privacy by design on client offerings, use of big data, internet of things, data localisation, breach reporting and negotiation of data privacy provisions in client contracts. Kamini also advises on global strategic projects relating to Accenture’s employees worldwide and has responsibilities with respect to implementing various internal data privacy programs, reviewing Accenture’s global data privacy officers’ network and implementing effective cross border data transfer programs.

Before joining Accenture, Kamini was part of the Privacy and IT/E-Commerce group at Morgan Stanley and, prior to that, she worked for a US law firm specialising in IT, data privacy and commercial law. Kamini started her career in finance and business before migrating to law. She holds a European law degree (having studied in the UK and Belgium) and the IAPP specialised data privacy qualifications in CIPP E, CIPP US, CIPT and CIPM.

Kamini has been actively engaged in the data privacy field since 2002. She has spoken at national and international conferences on specific issues relating to privacy, electronic trade payments, IT contracts, security and biometrics. Kamini has also contributed to Butterworths Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents (Information Technology), published various articles and was a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Task Force on Protection of Personal Data.
