Jacob Rubinstein, CIPP, is a recent Brooklyn Law Graduate focused on privacy law and is the Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Jay Zeffren. Jacob has advised on mobile privacy, facial recognition software, proper handling of third party information and social media issues as an Advanced Member of the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy Clinic. Jacob has written articles on the negative implications for teenagers under COPPA, ten things that privacy policy drafters should know and the intersection between 3D printing with copyright and patent law. Jacob has also lectured on the potential drain privacy could have on innovation.

As a Nielsen intern, Jacob wrote memoranda on the most recent issues in the W3C and detailed overviews of recent EU developments and a comparison of privacy laws in different Asian companies. As an intern at Thomson Reuters Jacob worked on Gramm Leach Bliley and the Electronic Communications Protection Act and analyzed privacy issues in software prior to its release.
