About the IAPP

Adam McKinney serves as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Privacy and Data Protection at AT&T.  As AT&T's lead privacy lawyer, Adam works closely with the AT&T Chief Privacy Officer on matters related to implementing privacy by design principles, establishing policies, and overseeing compliance with privacy laws and regulations for the company's global privacy program.  This support includes legal support for key privacy initiatives, including AT&T's GDPR implementation project.



Adam joined AT&T (then SBC) in 2000.  He worked in a variety of legal positions, several of which related to data services and AT&T's business solutions.  In 2014, he assumed responsibility for the privacy legal team.



Adam is a graduate of Baylor Law School and holds an MIS degree from Southern Methodist University.
