About the IAPP

David Young is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Goodwin Procter LLP, and a member of the firm's Privacy and Data Security and Intellectual Property practices. Young has been a member of the IAPP since 2009 and is certified as a CIPP/US.

Young's practice includes privacy law, advertising, intellectual property, and he has a particular interest in privacy issues relating to advertising, social media, higher education, location data and biometrics. Before entering private practice, Mr. Young clerked in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Department of Justice, and worked for several years as a legislative staffer on Capitol Hill.
