About the IAPP

John Kayode-Abusi has over 13 years of experience in enterprise and cloud-based systems. He holds an undergraduate degree in IT Security and a graduate degree (MEng) in Technology Innovation Management; and industry certifications from AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, ECCouncil, CompTia, ISACA, and (ISC)2, amongst others.

Currently, John leads security initiatives at Fullscript (a healthcare SaaS) as a Senior Security Engineer. He focuses on helping development and operation teams follow security best practices with their processes, procedures, tools, and technologies.

Before Fullscript, John worked with the National Bank of Canada, Canadian National Railway and Sub-Saharan Africa.

John has now set his sights on identifying a PhD program that focuses on technology entrepreneurship. When he's not thinking about technology or clacking the keyboard, John loves getting his hands dirty with farm work.
