A native of Berlin, Germany, Katharina now lives and practices law in the United States. Katharina is a member of Ashby & Geddes’ Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group where she focuses her practice on corporate restructurings and other insolvency-related matters. Katharina is also active in the firm’s Corporate Litigation and Counseling Group, with a particular focus on counseling German and other international businesses that are seeking to establish a presence in the United States. In addition, Katharina has expanded her practice into privacy law to be able to assist her clients in navigating evolving privacy laws and regulations. She serves as a co-chair for the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) Delaware KnowledgeNet Chapter.
Prior to entering private practice, Katharina served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary F. Walrath and the Honorable Kevin Gross at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Katharina is fluent in German and English and possesses a working knowledge of French.
Katharina is a member of the German American Chambers of Commerce, the IAPP, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), and the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court.
