A committee in the U.K.'s House of Lords is seeking contributions for its inquiry into socioeconomic and ethical impacts of artificial intelligence technology, TechCrunch reports. The committee is considering a host of questions, including how the public can be best prepared for more widespread use of the tech, who gains the most and least, what key industry sectors stand to benefit from its use, and whether it should be regulated. The committee says it wants to find "pragmatic solutions to the issues presented, and questions raised by the development and use of artificial intelligence in the present and the future." The committee's call for evidence can be found here, and the deadline for submissions is 6 September.
