The Institute of Directors warns that companies remain unprepared for the implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation set to take effect May 2018, The Times reports. After two years of preparation, the Institute of Directors surveyed nearly 900 members to find that 30 percent had not heard of the regulation. The survey also found that four out of 10 respondents did not know if their company would be impacted by the new regulation. Jamie Kerr, head of external affairs at the institute, said more engagement is still needed from the Information Commissioner’s Office to ensure that businesses are prepared ahead of implementation.
