CNN has encouraged a federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to dismiss plaintiff Ryan Perry’s appeal that the company’s app violated his personal privacy under the Video Privacy Protection Act, MediaPost reports. CNN cited the Supreme Court’s Spokeo ruling that a plaintiff must demonstrate harm to have a case, the report states. Perry "identifies no concrete injury that actually exists" and doesn’t demonstrate "any risk of harm that might occur because of CNN’s alleged disclosures,” the company said in filing papers.
