In the biggest theft of U.S. government records in the nation’s history, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) late Thursday announced that the sensitive information of 21.5 million individuals was compromised in the second major hack of its IT systems this year. In the wake of the announcement, and after several calls for her resignation, OPM Director Katherine Archuleta resigned on Friday.
