The Russian data protection authority — the Roskomnadzor — has released its data localization inspection plan for companies doing business in the country, Hogan Lovells Chronicle of Data Protection reports. According to the report, “there are a number of prominent multi-national companies on the list” that was uploaded by the Roskomnadzor. Late last year, the Russian DPA said its inspections at the time had already led to three administrative fines under the localization requirement.
