Research by the International Digital Accountability Council found fertility app Premom shared user data without permission to three Chinese companies focused on advertising, The Washington Post reports. In a letter to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, researchers expressed concerns that “Premom may be engaged in deceptive practices as defined in the Federal Trade Commission Act.” Premom said it stopped sharing data with one of the companies, Jiguang, adding it does not use the other two companies flagged by researchers.
