A Queensland policeman has been suspended following allegations he wrongly accessed and released private information from the state’s police database, ZDnet reports. The suspended policeman will appear in court after being served with a notice by the Crime and Corruption Commission. The CCC looked into the unsanctioned use of the Queensland Police Service’s Qprime database. After the investigation, the policeman was charged with a single count of misconduct in relation to public office, and another of illegally disclosing information in breach of the Police Service Administration Act. "In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct," the QPS said in a statement. “This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
