Professional social network LinkedIn has revealed it will update its privacy policy and user agreement, which will go into effect June 7, 2017. The "early look" into the changes, according to Sara Harrington, CIPP/E, in a LinkedIn post, is part of the company's "'members first' philosophy" to help "guide every decision we make, including how we gather and respect your personal information." Changes include increased visibility for users of their profile, easier ways to share personal accomplishments, productivity bots and tools to "improve communication with your network," a meet up feature based on other members located nearby including at conferences, among others. A TechCrunch report noted: "What's interesting about this now is that it provides more insight into Microsoft's priorities as it moves forward with LinkedIn's product development."
