U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., wrote a letter to the Federal Trade Commission urging an investigation of Zynn, a video app similar to TikTok, and its compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Hawley explained that examining the "extent of the similarities" between Zynn and TikTok may show "good reason to suspect that Zynn may not be abiding by" COPPA requirements.
