In response to a class-action lawsuit, Fiat Chrysler is arguing that the two drivers leading the suit agreed to enter into arbitration with the company, rather than sue, when they purchased their vehicle through a friend-of-employee discount program, Law360 reports. The proposed class action, filed in an Illinois federal court, alleges that a defect in data security in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee could allow hackers to take over their vehicle and potentially cause them harm.
