French data protection authority, the CNIL, released guidance in English this week on blockchain and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. "Blockchain is a technology with a high potential for development that raises many questions, including questions on its compatibility with the GDPR," the CNIL wrote in a blog post. "For this reason, the CNIL has addressed this matter and presents concrete solutions to stakeholders who wish to use it as part of their personal data processing operations." Jedidiah Bracy, CIPP, recently caught up with the CNIL's Guilda Rostama and Amandine Jambert to discuss the agency's work on blockchain, in this exclusive for Privacy Tech.
