Amid a comprehensive review, Chula Vista, California, temporarily stopped sharing data collected from electronic license plate readers with federal immigration enforcement agencies, Government Technology reports. The City Council is reviewing the data-sharing program, and a report is due in January. Chula Vista has been part of a database enabling agencies to view each other’s license plate data for three years. Agencies include the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection.
