A coalition of advertising groups has asked California Attorney General Xavier Becerra to delay enforcement of the California Consumer Privacy Act until regulations implementing the law have been finalized, MediaPost reports. Becerra unveiled a series of draft regulations on several CCPA requirements in October; however, those rules have not been finalized. The Office of the Attorney General of California is set to begin CCPA enforcement July 1. "In order to avoid consumer and business confusion with respect to the new rules, we request that you further delay the enforcement of the law to begin six months from the date the CCPA regulations become final," the groups write in a letter to Becerra. Meanwhile, state Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, D-Calif., discussed the CCPA in an interview with The Recorder.
