About the IAPP

Jim is a partner in the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird, and the founder and co-chair of the firm’s Privacy and Security Practice.  He is also the founder and co-chair of the firm’s unique multi-disciplinary Cybersecurity Preparedness & Response Team.  Jim advises largely US based multi-national financial services companies and across a wide variety of other industries regarding their global data governance, management, transfer and monetization programs and cyber-security preparedness and response.  Jim has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America in both Information Technology and Privacy and Security for a number of consecutive years.
