About the IAPP

Kristi Thompson is Deputy Division Chief of the FCC’s Telecommunications Consumers Division in the Enforcement Bureau.  Kristi oversees the FCC’s enforcement of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules governing autodialed calls and robocalls.  Prior to joining the FCC in 2007, Ms. Thompson worked in private practice in Washington, DC assisting companies and organizations with FCC regulatory compliance (including the TCPA) among other matters.  She received her J.D. from the University of California–Berkeley School of Law.
