ZS's Privacy Operations Team works side by side with ZS’s privacy attorneys as a function of the Legal team. Privacy Operations supports compliance activities, risk remediation, maintaining our Privacy Information Management System, and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to help facilitate Privacy by Design and global best practices for data protection.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with data privacy compliance projects.
- Complete templates and questionnaires, including data protection impact assessments, and escalate risk remediation requirements.
- Lead the maintenance of documentation on data flows, data maps, and service provider relationships.
- Assist with data processing and data transfer contracting support.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that support ZS’s privacy program objectives.
- Conduct privacy and compliance research and maintain knowledge of privacy laws and regulatory requirements that impact the business.
- Support the development and implementation of privacy compliance tools and mechanisms based on changes to privacy laws and business objectives.
- Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs.
- Identify privacy risks within new and existing projects.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the broader organization.
- Assist in developing privacy compliance governance, reporting, and metrics to support effective and efficient operation of the privacy team.
- Assist with responding to data subject requests.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required with a strong academic record.
- 3-5 years of privacy, legal operations, paralegal, or similar experience.
- Privacy certification a plus (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM).
- Knowledge of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CPRA, LGPD, etc., with a desire to learn more.
- Familiarity with OneTrust privacy tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while organizing and managing multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into succinct and relevant points.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Motivation, personal initiative and strong team/interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytic skills and problem-solving ability.
- Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
