Web Conference: Global Consent Requirements for Online Behavioral Advertising

This panel will address U.S. and global requirements regarding consent for online behavioral advertising (OBA) under applicable law and regulatory and self-regulatory guidelines. We will discuss laws and requirements for obtaining valid consent. You will understand the data organizations collect and their processing activities. We will determine the applicability of global laws, such as the GDPR’s extraterritorial provisions, to an organization's data collection practices. The panel will also take up the challenges of engaging in OBA given the current legislative landscape and methods organizations can use to ensure valid consent when using cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies to collect information.
