About the IAPP

Jessica Szabo is a founding partner of McIntyre Szabo PC, a boutique health law firm in Toronto. Prior to studying law, Jessica completed her MSc. in Forensic Mental Health Research in London, England and worked with hospitals to improve healthcare outcomes and for people with mental health needs. Before starting her own firm, Jessica was legal counsel at Ontario Health, worked closely with the privacy team to provide legal support to the organization with respect to data sharing, digital and research initiatives. She was also a lawyer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental health and was an associate in the Health Law Group at Borden Ladner Gervais. Jessica currently provides privacy advice to her clients in the health care space.
