About the IAPP

Rahul Tanwar serves Cisco Systems with more than a decade of experience in the information technology industry. In supporting the company’s mission for protecting customer, partner, and employee information, he is responsible for implementing data protection and privacy best practices at the operational level.

 

He has served in a number of roles at BroadSoft as program manager for data protection and privacy, project manager for information security and systems. Prior to BroadSoft, Rahul implemented global trade compliance and management systems for the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies. 

 

Rahul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s degree in Information Technology and Assurance from the University of Maryland University College. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a member of the IEEE Working Group on Personal Data Privacy.
