Victoria Hordern is Head of Data Privacy at Bates Wells Braithwaite based in London and advises on data protection, privacy and information law. She studied at Oxford University, qualified as a solicitor at London based law firm, Field Fisher Waterhouse and was subsequently Counsel in Hogan Lovells’ Privacy and Cybersecurity team. Hordern regularly assists organisations with multi-jurisdictional data protection compliance projects and GDPR compliance. She advises on all matters connected with data protection and privacy, including international data transfers, whistleblowing, marketing, outsourcing, cookie compliance and monitoring. She contributed the chapters on employment relationships and legitimate processing criteria to the IAPP's European Privacy: Law and Practice for Data Protection Professionals (2012) and to the updated edition (2018).
