Mikko Niva
Mikko Niva works as the Global Privacy Officer for Vodafone. He is responsible for Vodafone’s global privacy programme, covering more than 600 million mobile, broadband, TV, IoT and other customers in over 24 countries. Mikko received the Data Protection Officer of the Year Award for Excellence in Data Protection in 2019, by UK Information Commissioner. During his tenure, Vodafone has received the HPE-IAPP Award for Most Innovative Privacy Programme (2019), the Privacy Tech award for best use of technology (2019), and the IAPP honorary mention for Vodafone Location Insights –product (2018). Mikko is a member of the IAPP global board as well as the co-chair of GC100 data protection group.
