About the IAPP

Jas Johal is a senior principal, specializing in data protection and privacy related matters. She supports clients with developing and implementing privacy compliance programs, assessing multi-jurisdictional requirements, and addressing cross-border data transfer issues. She has supported organizations with implementing group-wide privacy programs to address regulatory requirements under the new EU General Data Protection Regulation and implementation of Binding Corporate Rules to support intra-group transfer of data. Jas has also assisted organizations with management of privacy-related compliance obligations and risk assessments in relation to large change management and business transformation projects.



Jas is also the lead coordinator for Promontory’s Privacy Center of Excellence and works closely with Promontory's senior advisers and consultants to continually enhance its GDPR methodology and work products based on best practices, regulatory insights, training and lessons learnt from our client GDPR project.
