Marissa Lasso de la Vega Ferrari
Marissa Lasso de la Vega Ferrari is partner at the Panamanian law firm Alfaro, Ferrer & Ramirez (AFRA). She heads the firm's Intellectual Property Department (Trademarks, Patents, Designs, Domain, Copyright: prosecution /litigations) and the Consumer Protection and Data Privacy practice group.
Widely recognized as one leading Intellectual Property expert for many years, she has participated in many national and international seminars, courses and Lasso de la Vega Ferrari has been instrumental in creating and developing in Panama the campaign against illicit trade.
Lasso de la Vega Ferrari is actually the President of Panamanian Association of Intellectual Property (APADEPI); and the Chair of the Panamanian Alliance against Illicit Trade (public and private alliance against smuggle, piracy and counterfeiting).
She has been for the last 5 years one of the legal advisor of the Board of Directors of Chamber of Commerce in Panama Republic of Panama.
Marissa has been recognized as the only Panamanian lawyer to receive the 250 Top Women Award (2018) by Managing IP.
