About the IAPP

María del Pilar López is co-head of the intellectual property department of the firm. She advises clients in the protection of intellectual property portfolios, including administrative and judicial processes. Numerous publishers such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer, World Trademark Review, Best Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal have recognized her as one of the most outstanding professionals in the intellectual property practice.

She is responsible for the creation of intellectual property compliance strategies and actions, advising important business groups in the industries of food, beverages, technology, textiles, hospitality, among others. Additionally, she has developed as an advisor to companies in regulatory affairs, personal data protection and life sciences.

She began her career as a lawyer in the corporate department at Zurcher, and subsequently assumed the direction of the intellectual property department in 2006 until July 2, 2021.
