Anick Fortin-Cousens is Program Director in IBM's Corporate Privacy Office, where she leads a team responsible for IBM's global privacy policies and programs, and advises the business on a broad range of initiatives and products. She also serves as IBM's Privacy Officer for Canada, where she he is directly responsible for helping the company meet privacy expectations and manage data risks.

For 17 years, Anick has worked with public policy makers and other stakeholders across the globe to achieve privacy frameworks that are contemporary, practical and support trusted information flows. She represents IBM in various fora, including APEC, and speaks regularly at various international and regional events. She holds law degrees in civil and common law (J.D., LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa (Canada) and an undergraduate degree in journalism. She currently serves as Chair of the Centre for Information Policy Leadership's Asia Group, and on the Privacy and Data Advisory Committee of the Canadian Marketing Association.
