About the IAPP

Arjun Adrian D'Souza is a lawyer engaged with a broad spectrum of issues related to technology, law and policy. He is Legal Counsel at the Software Freedom Law Center, India where he oversees policy and strategic litigation on intermediary liability, artificial intelligence and data protection. Since 2022, he has led the Digital Defenders Network, a capacity-building initiative of training 25-plus lawyers across India on pertinent subjects of cyber law. Previously, he was engaged as a legal researcher with a Justice of the Delhi High Court and has defended civil and criminal briefs before the Supreme Court of India.
