Sarah Rippy

Sarah Rippy is a recent University of Colorado Law School Graduate. Her interest in privacy law was sparked as she entered her second year and decided to write her student note for the Colorado Technology Law Journal on Europe’s (then) new General Data Protection Regulation and its conception of biometric data. Also during law school, Sarah worked as a student attorney at the Technology Law and Policy Clinic, served as CTLJ’s Executive editor, worked in the Colorado Attorney General’s office as a data privacy extern, and worked as a law clerk at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP in their data privacy group. She has developed a focus in facial recognition, biometrics, geolocation tracking, and forcing friends and family to listen to her privacy related rants.
Originally from Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Sarah holds an undergraduate degree in economics with an emphasis in finance From St. Olaf College. Outside of work she enjoys playing with her dog and skiing whenever she gets the chance.
