About the IAPP

Lorenda Lee (CIPP/A, CIPP/E, CIPP/US) is a Senior Legal Counsel with the Tencent Group’s International Privacy and Data Protection Centre (“IPDP”), which functions as the Group's global privacy office. Tencent Holdings Ltd (HKG: 0700) is a global tech conglomerate with a diverse business portfolio that includes a global interactive entertainment business that publishes and invests in some of the world's most popular video games and other high-quality digital content. Tencent also offers a range of services such as cloud computing, advertising, social platform, and FinTech services. As a trusted partner and advisor to the business, Lorenda supports and enables the expansion of the Group's businesses into global markets outside mainland China, while managing the Group’s privacy and cybersecurity related legal and regulatory risk. Prior to joining Tencent, Lorenda held positions as an in-house counsel at a Global Fortune 500 technology company and as a practising attorney in Singapore’s top-tier and boutique law firms. Lorenda is a Singapore-qualified lawyer and holds an LLB from the National University of Singapore.
