Allison Cohen, Of Counsel at Loeb & Loeb, U.S. CIPP, has more than 25 years of legal expertise across a diverse range of industries, including emerging automotive technology of connected and autonomous vehicles, blockchain technology, adtech, entertainment, hospitality and casinos. She advises on a full spectrum of issues and transactions related to privacy, security, dealer franchise and marketing. Allison provides creative and pragmatic solutions to help clients leverage data and technology while navigating today’s complicated compliance landscape.
Known for her business-oriented approach, Allison works with clients to launch products impacted by data protection laws and regulations, globally. Allison’s experience includes developing privacy programs for her clients, providing counsel on public policy privacy issues, and drafting and negotiating data deals that address legal requirements, protect consumer privacy, and provide businesses with the tools they need to effectively handle, use and share data.
Prior to joining Loeb in 2018, Allison was Managing Counsel at Toyota for over 16 years, providing data privacy and data governance advice and counsel for business units across Toyota companies, and serving as Toyota’s data privacy subject matter expert and key participant in industry-wide, governmental affairs initiatives that involved engaging with the Federal Trade Commission, the Government Accountability Office, U.S. Senator Ed Markey and the auto industry’s trade organizations.
